When using a Filter Press Cloth to separate liquids from solids, you need a filter cloth that is top-notch. When the material porosity becomes disrupted, it may not perform the separation process effectively. Also, when the filter cloth becomes stretched in use, it can become too porous and cannot function efficiently. In contrast, filter cloth can become clogged when particles become lodged deep into the fabric. In this case, it is not effective to clean the fabric chemically. When your filter presses no longer form a solid cake, it's time to replace the filter cloth.
Press Filter fabrics are available in a variety of standard oxford woven materials for quick release, mono-multifilament. The most commonly used fabric is polypropylene. However, polyester is also available.
For non-gasket fabrics, we can provide latex binding which provides a better seal and therefore less leakage when the press operates.
